Welcome to Oldfield Primary online
Welcome to our shiny new website. The old website had run its course and with the start of a new school year, we felt it was time to reflect the huge sense of community which the school has. This new site now gives us the capability to allow people to contribute and share ideas.
You’ll notice the latest news and views on the homepage. Over the coming months, I’m going to be asking the children and teachers to contribute regularly. I am looking forward to showcasing school events normally reserved for assemblies and newsletters.
In addition to the events and news areas, this site has been completely updated with relevant up to date information concerning the school and your child’s welfare. Many of our policies, our newsletters and important dates can be found around the site and if you feel there is something missing, then please let us know.
The home page will also feature events as well as important information like the school being closed due to adverse weather, so do check back regularly.
Each class has its own area where we intend on showcasing recent school work for everyone to see. Within each class area, you’ll find home learning details as well as class newsletters.
We will always be mindful of privacy. Sensitive areas will be passworded and those parents who would rather their children are not featured will of course have their wishes respected. That said, I’d like to personally encourage all children to get involved in contributing – whether it be great pieces of school work they’d like to share, photographs of events or just have something to say.
Please get involved, share links with family and friends and give us your feedback. If of course you as a parent would like to contribute then we’d love to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Richard Jarrett,
Head teacher.
